Bradwood Park
A Beautiful Retreat
Bradwood Park is the beautiful and relaxing retreat of the members and families of Kanawha Lodge #25. Located along the winding Little Coal River, this restful camp provides wading in the river, large lawns for games and events, a fishing pond, walking trails, spectacular views from on the mountain, a bath house and a full hall complete with large open kitchen.
This Odd Fellows playground has been a benefit to our members since September 1, 1960 and from that undeveloped beginning has grown into a restful home away from home. Social events, camping, cook-outs and friendly contests bring fellowship to new heights.
While use of the property is generally restricted to members of Kanawha Lodge #25, their families and guests, arrangements can be made to use this venue for parties and events upon the approval of the Trustees of Bradwood Park. For more information contact us at secretary@oddfellows.us.
Origin of the Name Bradwood Park
Bradwood Park was named during a dedication on July 4, 1965. The name is a combination of part of the last names of the two members who contributed the most effort to the creation and development of the property. They were the Chairman of the Park Committee, Ed Bradley, Sr. and the Secretary of the Park Committee Earl Woodrum. A plaque in their honor was presented that day and still hangs over the fireplace.
